Why am I here?

2

I am glad you are here to read up on this question. It means you want more out of life. This is one important question that many fail to ask. “Why am I here?” I don’t know about you, but I believe there is more to life than merry making, building families, riding in nice cars, earning money, and the rest. There’s got to be more. Yes, mankind accomplishes these great things, but they do not give the fulfillment we yearn for. The question would be better interpreted as, “What is my purpose here on earth? Why did God create me?” Until we answer these questions, life may never make sense, or we will live an unfulfilled life.

Who knows your purpose like the One who created you? If you are far away from your Creator, you are far away from knowing why you are here on earth.

I have yet to see anything created without a purpose. Think about it: everything you can see serves a purpose. Look around you. That paper has a purpose: to hold information. Keys give you access to entries. Light bulbs give you light in the dark. Books are to hold and provide information. Your clothing is to cover you up and make you look beautiful. Everything created serves a purpose. Now, these are non-living things, but you are living and special, my friend; you have a purpose. Go to your Maker; walk with Him as He reveals to you the reason why He created you.

As long as you are with Him, you are guaranteed success. He will give you all the necessary resources to excel in life. It won’t be a day’s journey; it’s a journey of a lifetime. Walk with Him and ask Him to show you the blueprint. When He leads you, follow Him.

Begin a relationship with God, ask God to show you the reason for your existence. If you walk closely with God, you will see patterns, trends, and rhythms of talents, gifts, or special abilities that God has given you. If you work diligently with these special abilities, they set a platform for great assignments ahead of you. Whatever your hands find to do, do it with all of your might. Whatever has been committed into your care, do it diligently and be faithful with it. It will be the foundation of your greater calling.

Your action points:

  1. Make friends with God and He will lead you to achieve the reason He created you. How can you start?Read your Bible, talk with God, and take Him with you everywhere you go.
  2. Once you identify your gifts and talents, work with them diligently in God’s house, within your community, and in your immediate environment. If you are proficient in IT, join the media department in your church. If you love to help others, start from your home and progress to your community.Volunteer with non-profit organizations.
  3. Whatever work you have been given, do it faithfully. If you are serving under a leader, serve faithfully. If you are working in a small department now, serve as if you are in a desired department. Those works build your tomorrow.

Remember, God causes all things to work together for your good. Keep following Him!
